John Fea

John Fea, Ph.D., is a Professor of History at Messiah University. He specializes in American religious history and the intersection of religion and politics. Fea is noted for his work examining evangelical engagement with political movements, including his book *Believe Me: The Evangelical Road to Donald Trump*. In February 2025, he presented the lecture *Roads Not Taken: How Evangelicals Embraced MAGA* at Bluffton University and the University of Findlay, analyzing the 1998 Clinton impeachment as a turning point in evangelical political alignment.

His research focuses on 20th-century U.S. history, particularly how religious groups navigate political ideologies. The lecture was co-sponsored by the University of Findlay’s Freed Contemporary Christian Lecture Series and Bluffton’s Keeney Peace Lectureship, reflecting shared institutional commitments to Christian ethics and civic discourse.
