John E. Fagan

John E. Fagan serves as Presidential Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Gallogly College of Engineering, University of Oklahoma. He holds a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. from the University of Texas, and maintains active roles in both teaching and research.

His research focuses on Alternative Energy Transportation Systems, GPS Navigation, and Control Systems, with notable projects including:

• Development of solar and electric vehicles for national/international competitions (Spirit of Oklahoma, Formula Lightning)
• Collaboration with FAA and OU Department of Aviation on GPS-based aircraft navigation systems (WAAS, LAAS)
• Principal Investigator for flight test programs involving WAAS/LAAS navigators and C-129 GPS systems

Current projects involve precision approach procedures for aircraft and high-speed electric vehicle design.
