John D. Nerva

Dr. John D. Nerva is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), where he joined in 2021. He specializes in cerebrovascular and spinal vascular disease, combining open microsurgery, endovascular techniques, and radiosurgery. He completed fellowship training at the University of Florida, Macquarie University (Australia), and the University of Washington. His research focuses on patient outcomes and surgical refinements in cerebrovascular disease, with over 100 publications and NIH-funded work on brain aneurysm simulations.
