John Atteberry serves as a Lecturer in Bassoon at Pittsburg State University. A professional bassoonist, he holds degrees in Bassoon Performance from the University of Missouri–Columbia (B.M.) and Rutgers University (M.M.).
Mr. Atteberry is currently Principal Bassoon of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and has performed with renowned ensembles including the Jupiter Symphony of New York, Concerto Soloists of Philadelphia, and Princeton Pro Musica. His international performance experience spans the Spoleto Festival (Charleston, SC), Festival of the Two Worlds (Spoleto, Italy), and AIMS Festival (Graz, Austria).
As a published composer, his works for Choir and Handbell Ensemble are available through GIA Music Publishers, Beckenhorst, and Choristers Guild.
