John A. Staley

John A. Staley, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. He also serves as Deputy Director of the NC Occupational Safety and Health Education and Research Center and Co-Director of the Outreach Core at the Carolina Center for Healthy Workplace Design and Worker Well-being. His work focuses on occupational safety, disaster preparedness, and Total Worker Health® interventions, particularly for vulnerable workers and first responders.

• Occupational safety and health hazards among first responders and underrepresented populations
• Disaster preparedness and response program development
