John A. Darr

John A. Darr is an Associate Professor in the Theology Department at Boston College (Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences). His research focuses on New Testament studies, particularly Luke-Acts, literary criticism, and theological methodology. He holds a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University and teaches at Stokes Hall. Office hours are Wednesdays 2-4 PM.

Research interests include New Testament narratives, parables, pneumatology, and Christology. His work engages intertextuality, rhetorical analysis, and character studies in biblical texts. Recent publications explore Lukan genre blending, Pharisaic portrayals, and discipleship themes in Luke-Acts.
