John A. Cline is a Professor in the Department of Plant Agriculture at the University of Guelph's Ontario Agricultural College. Key projects include evaluating new cultivars, reducing pesticide reliance, and improving orchard management practices.
Advising & Grants:
Collaborates with national and international teams through multi-site rootstock trials (NC-140 projects). His research has been supported by grants focused on sustainable agriculture and fruit production efficiency.
Labs & Teams:
Based at the Edmund C. Bovey Building and the Ontario Crops Research Centre – Simcoe. Leads teams studying apple replant disease, mechanical thinning, and plant bioregulator applications.
