Johanna Clancy

Johanna Clancy is a Centre Member at the National University of Ireland, Galway, specializing in multinational enterprise (MNE) subsidiary evolution and social enterprise sustainability. She actively contributes to initiatives supporting social enterprises through networks like Social Enterprise Research Network of Ireland (SERNI) and Social Entrepreneurs Ireland. As a non-executive director of SCCUL Enterprises, she drives business expansion programs and co-designed EU-funded initiatives for Bizmentors International, a mentoring platform for startups in peripheral European regions.

Her teaching focuses on entrepreneurship, including leading the final-year module Innovation, Creativity and Enterprise, where students address UN Sustainable Development Goals through project-based learning. She designed an Enterprise pathway and stream within the Bachelor of Commerce program.

Johanna advocates for social enterprise scalability and sustainability through local and national partnerships, emphasizing practical solutions for economic and environmental challenges.
