Johan Jendle is a Professor of Medical Science at Örebro University and Head of the Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism Research Center. He specializes in endocrinology and diabetology, with a focus on type 1 and type 2 diabetes, physical activity management, and innovative medical technologies. Born in Gothenburg, Sweden, he earned a PhD in Medicine from Linköping University (1996), became a Docent at Örebro University (2010), and was appointed Professor in 2015.
His research spans diabetes technology (e.g., continuous glucose monitoring systems, insulin pumps), new therapies (SGLT-2 inhibitors, GLP-1 agonists), health economics, and diabetic complications.
