Johan Emilian Moan

Johan Emilian Moan is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Oslo's Department of Physics within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. He also serves as Head of the Biophysics and Photodynamic Therapy Group at the Institute of Cancer Research, Oslo University Hospital. His academic career includes a PhD from the University of Oslo (1975) and roles as Senior Scientist at Oslo University Hospital since 1980 and Adjunct Professor since 1991.

Research focuses on photobiophysics, photomedicine, and the health impacts of solar radiation. Key areas include skin cancer epidemiology, vitamin D's anticarcinogenic effects, ozone depletion consequences, and photodynamic therapy advancements.
