Joel Stanulonis is an Assistant Professor of Arts Education at Houston Christian University (HCU), affiliated with the Department of Visual Arts in the College of Arts and Humanities. He holds an MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and a BFA in Studio Art from HCU. His teaching emphasizes foundational drawing and painting skills for undergraduate students.
As a professional artist, Stanulonis has exhibited work in Houston, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Germany, Denmark, and is featured in the PAFA Museum collection. His art graced the cover of New American Paintings (2015), and he has been a Hunting Art Prize finalist twice.
