About
Joe Jackson is an Instructional Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre Dance at the University of Mississippi's Department of Theatre & Film. He holds a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from the University of Mississippi (2000) and an M.A. in Theatre from Roosevelt University (2018).
His expertise spans Musical Theatre Dance, Tap, and choreography. With over 20 years of professional experience, he has performed in New York, regional, and international productions, including the national tour of Dr. Doolittle and the Italian tour of West Side Story. He is also a director and choreographer, notably for Fun Home at Front Porch Theatricals.
He teaches courses such as Dance Fundamentals, Jazz Dance I, Tap II, Theatre Dance II, and the Business of Acting. A member of Actors' Equity Association, he has worked with prominent theaters like Pittsburgh CLO, Arena Stage, and McCarter Theatre.
