Joe G. N. Garcia

Dr. Joe G. N. Garcia is an endowed Professor of Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine, serving as Associate Vice President for Research and Director of the Center for Inflammation Sciences & Systems Medicine at The Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation & Technology. A distinguished pulmonary physician-scientist elected to the National Academy of Medicine, his work bridges bench-to-bedside research in inflammatory lung diseases.

His research focuses on the genetic basis of lung disease, vascular permeability mechanisms, and health disparities in pulmonary conditions.
