Jody Feld, PT, DPT, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Duke University and Assistant Director for Interprofessional Education at the Duke Health Center for Interprofessional Education and Care (IPEC). She holds a secondary appointment in the Division of Stroke and Vascular Neurology, Department of Neurology, and is a Senior Fellow in the Duke Center for the Study of Aging and Human Development. Dr. Feld is a Board Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist (Emeritus) with over 25 years of clinical and academic experience in neurorehabilitation.

Research focuses on reducing mobility disability in stroke survivors and improving interprofessional education. Key areas include gait analysis, dual-task interference, and clinical prediction tools for neurologic populations. She leads the PRIME-KNEE study on post-surgical resilience and serves as Duke Site PI for the TRANSPORT2 trial on tDCS in stroke recovery.
Awards include the Jan K. Richardson Excellence in Teaching Award (2014) and multiple research fellowships from the Foundation for Physical Therapy. Her grants total over $5M, with NIH funding for studies on physical resilience and neuromodulation.
Teaching spans neurorehabilitation, motor learning, and interprofessional collaboration. She advises Duke’s student-led service-learning programs and contributes to IPE curricula across health professions.
