Jodi White

Jodi White is a Research Fellow at Carleton University's Norman Patterson School of International Affairs and Arthur Kroeger College of Public Affairs. She currently serves as President of Sydney House, a public affairs consulting firm, and Executive Chair of Tides Canada. Her career spans journalism, government, private sector, and non-profit sectors, with senior roles including Chief of Staff to the Minister of Foreign Affairs (1984-1988) and Prime Minister of Canada (1993), and Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Imasco Limited (1994-2000).

• BA in Journalism (Honors), Carleton University

Research and Expertise: Ms. White specializes in governance, public policy, international affairs, and corporate social responsibility. Her strategic leadership has influenced think tanks, government-private sector relations, and non-profit organizations. Her journalism background includes producing an ACTRA-award-winning documentary at the CBC.

Leadership and Board Memberships: She chairs the National Theatre School of Canada's Board of Governors and serves on boards of the Canadian International Council, Trans Canada Trail, Tides Canada, Action Canada, and the Canadian Journalism Foundation. Former roles include Deputy Chair of the Ottawa General Hospital, President and Chair of the Public Policy Forum, and board positions at the Institute for Research on Public Policy, the Canadian Institute of International Affairs, Bishop's University, and more.
