About
Dr. Jochen Winterer is a Lecturer in Systems Neuroscience at ETH Zürich's Institute for Neuroscience, where he teaches Molecular Neurophysiology. His research examines molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying synaptic plasticity, neural circuit function, and circadian regulation.
Recent work focuses on microRNA-mediated control of synaptic strength, homeostatic plasticity mechanisms, and circadian neurobiology. His publication trends show strong emphasis on:
- MicroRNA regulation of neuronal function
- Synaptic scaling mechanisms
- Circadian rhythm neurobiology
- Transcriptomic approaches to neural circuitry
