Jochen Streb

Professor Jochen Streb is a faculty member in the Department of Economics at the University of Mannheim since September 2011. He has served as department spokesperson (2017–2019) and Dean of the Faculty of Law and Economics (2018–2019). Since 2024, he has been Editor-in-Chief of the Economic History Yearbook (JWG), published by De Gruyter.

Research and Teaching

• Focus on economic history, globalization, inflation, and the intersection of education and labor history.
• Engages in public outreach, including a 2025 Kinder-Uni lecture on child labor and education access.
