Jochen Liske

Jochen Liske is a Professor of Observational Astronomy at the University of Hamburg, affiliated with the Hamburger Sternwarte (Hamburg Observatory) and the Quantum Universe Cluster of Excellence. He leads the Observational Astronomy Research Group and contributes to major international collaborations like GAMA, WAVES, and 4MOST.

• Research Focus: Extragalactic astronomy, observational cosmology, galaxy evolution, dark energy, and real-time cosmology via redshift drift measurements.
• Instrumentation: Key roles in the 4MOST and ELT-ANDES spectrograph projects, including calibration and software development.
