Jochen Kunstler

Jochen Kunstler is a Professor of Film and Television at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Atlanta, GA, since 2020. Previously, he held adjunct roles at VCUArts Cinema, Old Dominion University, and other institutions. He holds an M.F.A. in Film from Vermont College of Fine Arts. His expertise spans film production, post-production techniques, and media literacy education, with a focus on narrative feature editing and independent cinema. He has received grants including a Department of Education STEM Grant (2018) and multiple NC Arts Council Diversity Grants. His work includes editing acclaimed films like Hard was the Ground (2019) and Absolute Killers (2014), and producing films such as Mahler on the Couch (2010).
