Jocelyn Thorpe

Jocelyn Thorpe is an Associate Professor at the University of Manitoba, jointly appointed in Women’s and Gender Studies and History. Her research synthesizes critical race theory, feminist scholarship, and environmental studies to interrogate colonial legacies in Canada, focusing on how historical power dynamics perpetuate contemporary social and ecological inequities. She emphasizes collaborative inquiry, having worked with a supportive committee during her PhD in Environmental Studies (2008).
