Jocelyn Martin is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Humanities at Université Catholique de l'Ouest (Angers, France), specializing in Memory and Trauma Studies in Southeast Asia. She serves as Managing Editor for Scopus-indexed Kritika Kultura and Editorial Board Member for Brill's 'Mobilizing Memory' series.
Education includes a PhD in Languages and Literatures (Université Libre de Bruxelles) and MA in European Journalism. Her research examines postcolonial memory, trauma in climate disasters, and decolonizing methodologies.
Recent publications analyze memorial politics in the Philippines, ethical listening in climate trauma narratives, and vernacular approaches to memory. She received the Most Outstanding Scholarly Award (2020) for work on Marcos burial controversies and the Social Impact Award (2022) for 'Triggered', a creative response to extrajudicial killings.
