Joanne Lee is an Associate Clinical Educator in Nursing at the University of the Sunshine Coast's School of Health, specializing in nursing education and educational neuroscience. She holds dual degrees in nursing and education, including a Master of Educational Neuroscience. With over 28 years of clinical experience across ICU, midwifery, and primary health nursing, she teaches courses including Health Care and the Professions, Anatomy and Physiology, and Nursing Practice.
Her research focuses on health professions education, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nursing academics, and generative AI in education. Recent work explores peer teaching initiatives and technology-enhanced learning. She co-leads the Health Professions Education Research Cluster and directs the OPT-in peer teaching program.
