About
Joanne Arciuli is a Professor and former Dean (Research) at the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Flinders University (2020–2023). She leads the Communication, Cognition, and Wellbeing research group within the Caring Futures Institute. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on child development, disability, speech, language, literacy, and wellbeing, with over 100 peer-reviewed publications. Arciuli holds prestigious awards such as the ARC Future Fellowship (2014–2018) and the SUPRA Supervisor of the Year Award (2017). She has held roles including Associate Editor for multiple journals and Board membership in organizations like the Society for Scientific Studies of Reading and the Luke Priddis Foundation.
