Joanna Renda

Dr. Joanna Renda serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Landscape Shaping and Design within the Faculty of Natural and Technical Sciences at John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. Her academic work focuses on urban landscape architecture with particular emphasis on dendroflora analysis, public space design, and ecological restoration in Polish urban contexts, especially Lublin.

Her research interests center on urban greenery dynamics, including seasonal aesthetic value of plants, public preferences for urban green spaces, and biodiversity challenges in housing estates. Notable projects include development of city parks, school grounds, and religious sites across Eastern Poland, with documented thesis supervision since 2013 covering landscape interventions in Lublin, Chełm, Siedlce, and Ukrainian territories.

Dr. Renda's publication record since 1999 reveals consistent focus on Lublin's urban ecosystems, with recent works analyzing dendroflora decline in housing estates (2024) and public space preferences in historic districts (2023). Her research employs methodologies like SBE assessment and combines botanical precision with practical landscape solutions for urban environments.
