Joan Remski

Joan Remski is an Associate Provost for Faculty Development and Digital Learning and Professor of Mathematics at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Michigan State University (1997) and a B.S. in Mathematics from her current institution.

Dr. Remski's research focuses on numerical analysis and applied mathematics, particularly moving mesh methods for solving partial differential equations (PDEs) with sharp phase transitions. Her work emphasizes adaptive computational techniques to improve solution accuracy and efficiency.

Recent publications highlight her contributions to mesh optimization and balanced adaptive algorithms in PDE numerical solutions. Collaborations with Q. Du and J. Zhang demonstrate interdisciplinary engagement.
