Joan G. Loftus is an Associate Professor and Director & Chair of Nursing at Colby-Sawyer College's School of Nursing & Health Sciences. She joined the faculty in 2008 and teaches courses such as First Year Nursing Seminar, Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice, and Nursing Leadership.
- Education: BSN from Wilkes College (1985), MSN from Georgetown University (1992), and DNP from Wilkes University (2014).
Her research and teaching focus on critical care, geriatrics, long-term care, and end-of-life issues in nursing. She has contributed to initiatives in clinical education and simulation-based training for nursing students.
