Dr. Jisun Im is an Assistant Professor at the School of Engineering, University of Warwick. She holds a PhD in Chemistry (Polymer Science) from the University of Massachusetts Lowell (2012), with postdoctoral research at MIT, University of Nottingham, and industry experience as a Senior Research Engineer at Samsung SDI. Her research focuses on nanomaterials for green hydrogen production via photoelectrochemical water splitting, additively manufactured metamaterials, and advanced sensor technologies. Dr. Im’s work bridges academia and industry, emphasizing functional materials for sustainable energy and 3D printed electronics.
Her teaching includes core and elective modules such as Materials Technology for Sustainable Energy (ES2G6) and Batteries and Fuel Cells (ES96BX). She leads the Royal Society-funded project 'Novel functional materials for green hydrogen production via solar water splitting' (2024–2025).
