Jingxin Hu

Dr. Jingxin Hu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting and International Business at the Michael D. Eisner College of Business, University of Houston-Downtown. She teaches courses in financial and managerial accounting, including Auditing and Financial Reporting Theory.

• PhD in Accounting from Syracuse University

Dr. Hu's research focuses on analyst forecasts, institutional investors, firm disclosure, and corporate governance. Her submitted journal article explores the intersection of CSR and institutional shareholders, reflecting her interest in ethical investing and stakeholder management. Her recent teaching activities include Auditing and Cost Accounting courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Dr. Hu has been actively involved in university service, serving on committees such as the Faculty Senate Committee on Credentials and Elections (2024-2026) and the Scholarship Committee (2023-2025). She has also chaired departmental search committees and participated in curriculum development.
