About
Jing Man is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Biology, Freie Universität Berlin, since 2022. She works under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Matthias Rillig on a project investigating the joint effects of microplastic, drought, and plant diversity on soil multifunctionality in grassland ecosystems.
Education:
- B.S. in Grassland Science, Gansu Agricultural University, Lanzhou, China
- M.S. in Grassland Science, China Agricultural University, Beijing, China
- Ph.D. in Grassland Ecology, Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China
Her research focuses on plant-soil interactions, microplastic pollution, and environmental stressors in terrestrial ecosystems. By manipulating plant diversity in grassland microcosms, she examines how microplastic and drought impact soil biota, physical properties, and nutrient cycling. Her work addresses critical intersections of global change factors and ecosystem resilience.
Scientific Awards:
- Rising Star Fellowship, Freie Universität Berlin
