Jing Ma

Jing Ma serves as a Research Fellow at Monash University's School of Chemistry, specializing in corrosion mechanisms and electrochemical processes affecting engineered infrastructure systems.

Research Focus: Her primary investigations center on stray current corrosion phenomena in metallic infrastructure, bridging materials science and electrochemical engineering to address real-world durability challenges. This work integrates experimental analysis of corrosion kinetics with infrastructure protection methodologies.

Research Project: Successfully completed the project Investigating Stray Current corrosion of metallic infrastructure (2 November 2020 – 29 February 2024) as Primary Chief Investigator under Supervisor S. Thomas. This concluded research initiative examined electrochemical degradation pathways in civil engineering metallic components.
