Jim Sinclair serves as an Adjunct Professor and Chair of the Advisory Committee for the Labour Studies Program at Simon Fraser University (SFU). He previously held leadership roles as president of the B.C. Federation of Labour (1999-2014) and vice-president of the United Fishermen and Allied Workers Union. Sinclair was instrumental in negotiating the agreement that established the degree-granting SFU Labour Studies program. He authored the book We Build B.C. and co-edited the anthology Crossing the Line on NAFTA. Currently, he chairs the board of the Fraser Health Authority, British Columbia's largest health authority.
