Jim Graham is a Professor of Geospatial Science in the Department of Environmental Science and Management at Cal Poly Humboldt. His research uses spatial data and software to analyze human impacts on earth systems and model future scenarios.
He teaches introductory to advanced GIS courses including programming and modeling, using both ArcGIS and open-source software. His research focuses on habitat suitability modeling and spatial analysis for natural resource management.
Graham has supervised numerous graduate students working on projects involving satellite-based phenology analysis, kelp forest monitoring, habitat modeling for fish species, and tsunami evacuation mapping.
