Dr Jim Crowther serves as an Honorary Fellow at the Moray House School of Education and Sport, University of Edinburgh, where he actively contributes to teaching, research supervision, and editorial leadership as editor of the international journal Studies in the Education of Adults.

Crowther's research centers on adult education's transformative role in advancing democracy and social justice through popular education frameworks.
