Dr. Jim Benedict is an Assistant Research Scientist in Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, working remotely from Colorado as a visiting scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). His research focuses on large-scale atmospheric variability in tropical and midlatitude regions, tropical-extratropical interactions, precipitation extremes, and the effects of atmosphere-ocean coupling on climate variability.
