Dr. Jillian Hamilton is a Clinical Lecturer in General Practice & Primary Care at the University of Glasgow, affiliated with the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education from the University of Dundee and has clinical experience in paediatrics and hospital roles. Currently, she coordinates Year 4/5 GP student attachments and teaches medical students in practice settings. Outside academia, she is a partner at Bishopton Health Centre.
Her research focuses on the impact of increasing medical student numbers on general practice and the recognition of invasive meningococcal disease. In 2013, she was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners for contributions to undergraduate teaching. She has maintained active clinical practice alongside her academic roles.
