Jill Belli

Jill Belli is an Assistant Professor of English at New York City College of Technology, CUNY, and Co-Director of the OpenLab, a digital platform for teaching and learning. She earned her Ph.D. in English from The Graduate Center, CUNY, with certificate programs in American Studies and Interactive Technology and Pedagogy, and a B.A. in English and Classical Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.

• Research Areas: Utopian studies, science fiction, positive psychology, happiness studies, writing studies, digital humanities, and pedagogy.
• Projects: Founding member of the Writing Studies Tree and member of the North American Society for Utopian Studies Steering Committee.
• Courses Taught: First Year Composition, Literature Courses, and courses in the Professional and Technical Writing major, including Science Fiction and Technical Writing.
