Jill Bally

Dr. Jill Bally is a Professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Saskatchewan, with over 30 years of clinical and academic experience in pediatric nursing. Her research focuses on hope interventions for families of children with life-limiting illnesses, Indigenous health, and diabetes prevention in youth. She leads interdisciplinary teams including the Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan and collaborates with community members. Dr. Bally holds a PhD and has taught across undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.

Education: BsN, BA(Psychology), MN, PhD. Research Methodologies include qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods. She has been awarded grants from CIHR, Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation, and the RBC Nurses for Kids Program. Notable awards include the 2018 Effie Feeny Award for Nursing Research and the 2017 Canadian Health Care Innovation Award.

Her work emphasizes participatory and anti-oppressive approaches, particularly with Indigenous families. Key areas include pediatric palliative care, interprofessional education, and family-centered nursing.
