Jihye Yun

Jihye Yun is a Korean Instructor at the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures under the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She joined the university in Fall 2024, bringing extensive experience from teaching roles at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2018 to Summer 2024.

Her research focuses on comparative studies of Korean and Chinese languages and cultures, with additional interests in language education and cultural interactions. She has taught a wide range of Korean language courses, including intermediate and advanced levels, as well as business Korean and Chinese language courses.
