Jihwan Ryu is a PhD researcher at the Public Procurement Research Centre (PPRC) of Utrecht University and a member of the Utrecht University Centre for Procurement and Procurement Policy (UUCePP), commencing her doctoral work in 2023.

Ryu's research investigates how voluntary sustainability certifications (notably the CO₂-performance ladder) influence welfare outcomes in government procurement.
