Jie Zhao

Dr. Jie Zhao is a Research Fellow in the Department of Quantum Science & Technology at The Australian National University (ANU), affiliated with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology. His research focuses on quantum information science, with expertise in nonlinear optics, quantum communication, and quantum sensing. Key interests include four-wave mixing in atomic vapors, quantum teleportation protocols, and the development of advanced optical systems for quantum computing.

He leads two major research projects: Quantum-secured communications for information networking in smart microgrids and Resonator-enhanced quantum levitation of macroscopic systems, which explore practical applications of quantum technologies in communication and gravitational physics. Dr. Zhao’s work often intersects with cutting-edge topics like phase-conjugate resonators, entanglement purification, and hypercubic cluster state generation.

His recent publications emphasize experimental and theoretical advancements in quantum metrology, squeezing protocols, and twisted van der Waals materials. These contributions highlight his dual role as both an experimentalist and a theorist in the quantum domain.
