Professor Jianlin Chen is Associate Dean (International) and Director of Studies, Asian Law at Melbourne Law School, University of Melbourne. He holds an LLB from the National University of Singapore, an LLM and JSD from the University of Chicago, and is qualified to practice in Singapore and New York. His research focuses on law and religion, criminal law, fraud regulation, and economic analysis, with additional explorations in natural resources, corporate law, and government procurement.
His work seeks to develop theoretical inquiries into state actions and public interest objectives across diverse domains. Chen teaches courses in Economic Analysis of Law, Corporations Law, Commercial Law in Asia, Comparative Sexual Offences, and Natural Resources Law in Asia.
