Jiangtao Xi is Professor and Head of School of Electrical, Computer and Telecommunications Engineering at University of Wollongong, where he also serves as Associate Dean (Global Engagement). He holds BE, ME, and PhD degrees in electrical engineering.
His research develops signal processing techniques for instrumentation, measurement, and telecommunications. Applications include medical imaging systems, wireless sensor networks, and communication protocols.
Professor Xi has led international research collaborations including the 'AI/IoT-powered Airborne System for Monitoring Water Level and Tidal Floods' project in Indonesia and currently supervises PhD students working on MIMO communications and microwave photonics.
