About
Dr. Jiang Chen is Research Fellow at Monash University's Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering and the ARC Research Hub for Computational Particle Technology. He holds a PhD in Materials Science from UNSW and BS from Tongji University.
Research expertise spans:
- Computational modeling of particle-fluid systems
- Separation process optimization for industrial applications
- Multiscale simulation of particulate flows
- Cyclone separator design and efficiency analysis
Recent work develops coarse-grained CFD-DEM approaches to model gas-solid flows in cyclones, enabling high-efficiency industrial separation systems. His research bridges fundamental particle technology with practical mineral processing applications.
