Jiacheng Liu

Jiacheng Liu is an Assistant Professor in the History Department at the University of Northern Colorado. He holds a Ph.D. in History from Carnegie Mellon University (2016), where his training emphasized interdisciplinary approaches integrating anthropology, performance studies, and gender studies. His research focuses on actresses and urban publics in early 20th-century Beijing, reflecting a commitment to exploring cultural and social dynamics in modern China.

During his graduate studies, Liu developed strong pedagogical skills through teaching roles as both a teaching assistant and instructor.
