Dr. Jessie Sutherland is an ARC DECRA Fellow and Research Fellow in the School of Biomedical Sciences and Pharmacy at the University of Newcastle. Her research focuses on reproductive biology, particularly ovarian development and infertility mechanisms, with a strong emphasis on the JAK/STAT signaling pathway and Musashi RNA-binding proteins. She is also actively involved in teaching biomedical science and pharmacy courses, emphasizing hands-on leadership and innovation in education through programs like the Advanced Leadership Program.
Her research explores key areas including premature ovarian failure, ovarian aging, and the molecular regulation of germ cell development.
