Jessie Contour

Jessie Contour is an Associate Professor of Practice and Assistant Chair in the Department of Arts and Entertainment Technologies at the University of Texas at Austin. Her work bridges creative technology, education, and interactive media. She has collaborated with AAA game studios, museums, and startups, contributing to projects like global video game launches and permanent museum exhibits.

Her research focuses on innovation in immersive media, interactive storytelling, and the intersection of art, play, and education. She actively supports students in navigating evolving technologies in entertainment through teaching and advising.

Jessie is a frequent speaker at industry events such as GDC, SXSW, and Women in Games. Beyond academia, she owns a strength gym in North Austin and competes in Strongman competitions.
