Jessica Wengel, M.A., is a Lecturer and Program Coordinator at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). She holds a Master of Arts in History and is pursuing a PhD in History in cooperation with Stadtarchiv Nürnberg. Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in History and Archaeological Sciences, all from FAU. She is affiliated with the Institute for Near Eastern and East Asian Languages and Civilizations and teaches Cultural and Social Anthropology.
Her research interests span interdisciplinary approaches to decision-making, cultural anthropology, gender studies, migration, and ethics. She coordinates the Elite Master’s Programme “Standards of Decision Making Across Cultures” (SDAC) and oversees program logistics, student support, and academic coordination. Her work integrates historical methodologies with contemporary cultural analysis.
She is available for appointments weekly on Wednesdays, 12:00–14:00, in Room 02.275. Her professional activities include organizing academic events, guest lectures, and study abroad initiatives, such as the SDAC excursions to Amsterdam, Berlin, and Vienna.
