Jessica Tan, MD, is an Assistant Clinical Professor in Residence at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH), affiliated with the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging. She holds a medical degree from UCSF (2006) and completed a transitional internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (2007), followed by Diagnostic Radiology residency at UC San Diego (2007–2011) and a Neuroradiology fellowship at UCSF (2012). Since June 2013, she has been an Assistant Clinical Professor of Neuroradiology at SFGH.
Her research focuses on stroke imaging, CSF flow disorders (e.g., intracranial hypotension), vascular imaging in acute trauma, and carotid plaque imaging. She actively supervises radiology residents and lectures on neuroradiology. Dr. Tan is a member of multiple professional societies, including the Radiological Society of North America and the American Society of Neuroradiology.
She has authored 4 peer-reviewed articles and 10 abstracts. Notable awards include the UCSF Quarterly Research Fellowship (2005) and the Stanford University President’s Scholar (1999).
