Jessica TALLET is an Associate Professor at the University of Toulouse III - Paul Sabatier, affiliated with the Faculty of Movement Sciences, Health, and Human Sciences (F2SMH). She leads the iDREAM research team, focusing on neurodevelopmental and neurological disorders, particularly Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), Cerebral Palsy, and the impact of rhythmic interventions in rehabilitation. Her work integrates neuroscience, biomechanics, and interdisciplinary approaches to improve clinical assessment and therapeutic outcomes.
Education and Research: Her research explores procedural learning deficits, motor-cognitive interactions, and the role of rhythm in motor rehabilitation. She has supervised doctoral students including Elodie Martin (procedural learning in neurodevelopmental disorders) and Anaïs Desbernats (rhythm production and attention).
Grants and Projects: Principal Investigator of the ANR DANS-APP project (2021-2024), investigating rhythmic dance interventions for motor learning in children with disabilities. She also contributed to the Inserm collective expertise on DCD (2016-2019).
Teaching: Teaches neuroscience, neurodevelopmental disorders, and rehabilitation methodologies at the undergraduate and graduate levels in STAPS (Sport Sciences).
Affiliations: Serves on the Executive Committee of the Toulouse Mind and Brain Institute (TMBI), chairs the Adapted Physical Activities and Health degree program (F2SMH), and is a member of the International Society for Research and Advocacy for Developmental Coordination Disorder (ISRA-DCD).
