Dr. Jessica Scholey is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. She serves as Physics Director of the MRI Simulation Program and Physics Lead of the Proton Ocular Program. Dr. Scholey joined UCSF faculty in 2017 and holds a PhD in Bioengineering from the Joint UC Berkeley-UCSF Program, an MSc in Medical Physics from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA in Physics from UC Berkeley.
Her research integrates medical imaging, proton therapy, and deep learning to advance radiation oncology. Primary interests include MRI applications for treatment planning, AI-driven image synthesis, and sustainable radiotherapy practices. She leads educational initiatives in MRI and proton therapy at UCSF and collaborates with the UCSF Center for Intelligent Imaging.
Dr. Scholey's recent publications (2022-2025) demonstrate strong focus on AI-enhanced medical imaging for radiation therapy, including synthetic CT generation, motion management in abdominal/liver radiotherapy, and proton therapy optimization.
